Your guide will give you a comprehensive tour of the pyramids, including the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure. You will learn about the history and construction of the pyramids, as well as the fascinating mythology surrounding them.
The Giza pyramids were built over a period of about 20 years, beginning around 2550 BC. They were built as tombs for the pharaohs Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. The pyramids are made of limestone blocks that were quarried from nearby quarries. The blocks were then transported to the pyramids and stacked on top of each other. The pyramids were originally covered in polished white limestone, but this limestone has been stripped away over the centuries.
After visiting the pyramids, you will have the opportunity to take a camel ride around the Giza Plateau. You will also have time to explore the Sphinx, a mysterious monument that has stood guard over the pyramids for thousands of years.
After lunch, you will be taken to visit the Step Pyramid of King Zoser. This is one of the most remarkable structures in the world, and it is located at Sakkara, which is the largest archaeological site in Egypt.

The Saqqara pyramids were built over a period of about 50 years, beginning around 2650 BC. They were built as tombs for the pharaoh Djoser and his family. The Step Pyramid is the oldest and most important pyramid at Saqqara. It is made of six mastabas, or stepped pyramids, that were built on top of each other. The pyramid is about 62 meters tall and covers an area of about 15 hectares.
Afterward, you’ll be taken to the historic city of Memphis was the capital of ancient Egypt for over 2,000 years, from the Old Kingdom to the Middle Kingdom. It was located on the west bank of the Nile River, about 20 kilometers south of modern Cairo.
Memphis declined in importance after the Middle Kingdom, but it remained a major religious center until the Roman period. The city was eventually abandoned, and its ruins are now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
