You will begin your journey from the western shore of Luxor, where you will find the Valley of the Kings, where, over a period of nearly 500 years, from the 16th to 11th centuries B.C., amazing tombs were built for the pharaohs and powerful nobles of Egypt’s New Kingdom. One of the most remarkable archaeological destinations in the world, the valley contains 63 tombs and chambers ranging in size from a simple pit to a complex tomb with more than 120 chambers. the royal necropolis known in antiquity as “the place of truth.” During our tour of the Valley of the Kings we will explore these magnificent tombs belonging to past kings such as Tutankhamun and the sons of Ramesses II.

Then you will be transferred to visit the famous temple of Queen Hatshepsut, better known as the Temple of El-Deir El-Bahari, where the divine birth story is engraved that helped convince the ancient Egyptians that she was a demi-god pharaoh to accept her as a female ruler, which was unfamiliar at the time, and the famous two Colossi of Memnon, two huge statues of King Amenhotep III overlooking the Nile River.

are two massive stone statues of King Amenhotep III and are the only remains of a complete mortuary temple. The statues are carved from quartzitic sandstone blocks that existed in Cairo and then were moved 700 km from Luxor. The two statues, known as the Colossi of Memnon, rise about 18 meters above the plain and are the remains of what was once the largest complex on the west bank, built by Amenhotep III.

The alabaster industry is one of the unique Egyptian crafts that has developed and sustained through successive generations since the ancient Egyptians. It is the main source of income for many artisans working mainly in the western area of Luxor to produce pharaonic antiques that fascinate tourists from different nations of the world.

No site in Egypt is more impressive than Karnak. It is the largest temple complex ever built by man and is the combined result of many generations of ancient builders and pharaohs. The Temple of Karnak consists of three main temples, smaller enclosed temples and several outer temples located on a 247-acre site.

After seeing the most impressive sights of Luxor on our famous tour of Luxor from Hurghada, we will return to your hotel in Hurghada. We will return around 8:30 p.m. in the evening, after what we know was a very pleasant day.
